While a visit to the Mouse is on the list for a lot of vacationers heading to Orlando any time of year, there are other Orlando Halloween activities and attractions, many full of Halloween spirit, to fill your time. No matter how you celebrate Halloween or the fall season, there’s something for everyone. Make sure to bring a mask, as some places may require it for entry.
Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and all your favorite Disney characters have concocted a spooky show full of family Halloween fun for all ages. After the Magic Kingdom closes for the evening, bash attendees will enjoy party music, decorations, “Character Cavalcades” and more, it’s a Halloween party like no other. Make sure to dress in costume and bring your Trick-or-Treat bag to collect treats from characters in their Halloween flare. There are no day park ticket or reservations required after purchase, but there are only a few select dates still available. Another perk to this ghoulish party: the after-hours ticketed event means smaller crowds and shorter wait times at your favorite rides and attractions!
Save your cash for other souvenirs and experiences during your trip and head to the Promenade at Sunset Walk for the Kid’s Trick or Treating & “Trunk” or Treat car show. There are over two dozen locations giving out sweets and treats at the outdoor event. The event starts at 4 p.m. on October 30 and is free to attend.
You can “build” the perfect Halloween for the family during the Brick or Treat event at Legoland Florida Resort. Join exclusive Halloween characters, have fun trick-or-treating, and enjoy all the spooky fun. The event runs Saturdays and Sundays October 2-31 during park hours.
Head to Gatorland for a fright beyond seeing alligators spring from the water to snap food from trainers, or a trainer wrestle the beasts. This year, attend the 3rd annual Halloween celebration perfect for all ages. The daytime bash features multiple themed haunt zones, interactive characters, animal meet-and-greets, the Crocs and Cryptids Zone, Swamp Ghost’s Monster Museum, and more. Kids can dress in costume and take part in the Children’s Halloween Costume Parade complete with treat bags. The event runs October 9-31 on Saturdays and Sundays during park hours. This is probably one of the best Orlando Halloween activities to explore!
Teens and adults can visit Universal Resort Orlando after dark now through October 31 for the scare of a lifetime. It’s the 30th anniversary of the park’s Halloween Horror Nights, and they’re pulling out all the stops. There are a number of haunted houses from Halloween Horror Night icons like Puppet Theater: Captive Audience, and Revenge of the Tooth Fairy and other spine-tinglers like The Haunting of Hill House, Beetlejuice, and the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The event is going on now until October 31. Ticket prices and times vary. Shows may not be suitable for children under 13.
This mature audiences-only event at SeaWorld is in its first year of fright. Evade the spooks as they rampage through “scare zones” and “roaming haunts” that follow you everywhere you go! Climb on the nighttime coaster ride, see a live monstrous show, and try to resist the haunting song of the one who has emerged from the lake. The event is on select Thursday-Sunday nights from now to October 31. Hours are 7 p.m.- 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 7 p.m. – midnight on Thursdays and Sundays. It is a ticketed event and tickets can be purchased on the SeaWorld Orlando website for $31.99. The mature-audiences-only event contains blood, gore, violence, and other adult content. Please NO costumes.
